Fresh from the victory over the SPFL regarding the fixture change, Hibs are also now challenging (http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/hibs-seeking-support-over-play-off-cash-1-3745331) the Cash Grab and Minimum Pricing rules for the Play Offs.

Its gonna be rather tricky to convince 75% of the 3 lower divisions to reduce their windfall by half.

Apparently it won't affect the actual cash that they receive.

Is anyone able to make a stab at how large an amount of cash it is expected to be for non participating clubs?

If the Tom English mooted amount of 500k for 3 years telly rights is accurate, Then tv money is contibuting 27k per game, times 6 games. 166k each year. - Im assuming it will just be the championship playoff games the tellycos want.

The spfl take half for redistribution amongst 38 clubs. Thats just over 2 grand each game for each club.

I don't know how the match day finances work, but assuming each of these games gate receipts cover their costs, and make a little cash, its hardly going to produce a fortune for the likes of Montrose, Stranraer East Stirlingshire etc which was the original intention.

Maybe it's because of that pittance from the tv cos, that the SPFL now won't allow the clubs to set their own prices, or allow entry for these games on a purchased season ticket.
