I was at a quuz night in aid of Camerons family a while back run by Whitehill Welfare. My Dad used to coach him at Spartans.

Very, very sad news. Words can't really do justice to such an awful situation.

He was a few years below me at school, I never knew him but I used to speak to his mum, Lisa, who worked on reception and who was absolutely lovely. Can't imagine what their family is going through, hope they can take strength in all the support they're getting. Thoughts are with them all.

RIP.

Wow, what a tragic story. Two young siblings dying in the space of a couple of months; it's beyond cruel. The family's grief is unimaginable.

The applause would be a nice gesture.

Tragic story. Losing 2 kids within a few months is just beyond words. Thoughts with the family.
A minutes applause for Cameron is a great idea and well deserved for a brave young guy that had connections to both clubs.
We all get very excited and rant on here but it is only a game of football and this proves there are so many things more important in life.

He was friends with my cousin Rosie, I read the piece on the Just Giving page just yesterday. No parent should have to suffer the loss of a child, can't comprehend how it would feel to have two cruelly taken away from you. The word heartbreaking doesn't even come close.

Going to start a thread on Pie and Bovril to see if I can spread the word amongst the Falkirk faithful for a 19th minute applause on Saturday.

Thoughts go out to all friends and family.

Rest in peace Cameron

A period of applause at 19 minutes for this poor lad and his family seems a no brainer to me .. lets make it happen.

Former hibs youth coach james Mcdonaugh knew Cameron as he is now first team coach at Falkirk. He has gone threw this with a previous player, david Paul in December 2013 at hibs and now this. David's sister also died before him. Heartbreaking. Thoughts go out to family, friends and people who knew him.

My god that is simply devastating to hear about. My heart goes out to family of these two kids. I hope we can get some sort of tribute together - it may be just a gesture but if it eases their pain in some small way then it's well worth doing.

It would be a fitting tribute from Hibernian and Falkirk fans.

Here it's here, quite smart. CCLASP do some great work, helped out the family of my mate Kirsty when her niece was going through treatment for leukaemia.

@HibsOfficial: #HIBSFAL: Both teams will wear black armbands in memory of #Hibs legend Tommy Preston and Falkirk Youth Academy player Cameron Armstrong.

@HibsOfficial: A minutes applause will be held before kick off, and a supporter led tribute to Cameron has been planned with an applause on the 19th minute
