Or the players could stop them scoring. Simple?

Strathclyde-isation, definitely. Controversial policies, probably.

But corruption?

Message to police Scotland:

Train your eyes on the away support and you might recognise some wanted faces or grown men with no clothes on.

Mark Stewart QC said the evidence against his client had been “tainted” and “polluted” by senior officers from Police Scotland’s Serious Crime Squad and compared their tactics to the actions of police cops in the fictional 70s TV series The Sweeney.

He told the jury that the Senior Investigating Officer – Detective Inspector Carol Craig – and her team had been “totally unprofessional” in the way they handled the investigation and described the writing up of police notebooks retrospectively as “shambolic and deceitful”

From a trial only a few weeks ago.

I'm glad to see Police Scotland putting out a reminder before the game but would have more confidence in them if we heard what action was taken against those pelting Hibs fans with missiles at Ibrox and Rangers and Hearts fans belting out banned songs from the away end and Easter Road. After all there's CCTV in both grounds.

I worked for a company once where someone tried to embezzle money. Didn't make us all embezzlers or the company corrupt.

Either way, I'm not sure a defendant's QC is the most reliable source ever.

Agree the guy was trying to get his client off so would obviously be trying to weaken the police case, that's not to say what he was saying wasn't correct in that case though.

I did laugh last time as I was trapped behind a barrier preventing me from going the quickest route home for almost an hour.

On, very politely, asking a Policeman how much longer we had to wait I was helpfully advised by this kindly public servant to 'shut the **** up and wait'. In fainress this was overheard by a more senior officer who removed him from where he was standing. He then informed us that the reason we were being held was that a 'handful of Hearts fans are setting off flares and rockets just up the road'. Call me old fahsioned but I think the old guy next to me suggesting that they go and arrest those actually breaking the law rather than preventing us who are able to behave from going home was a pretty decent idea.
