Hi Guys,

just booked a bus to hampden for the semi for the first time and wondering the best way to go about getting booked into a bowling club/pub before. Or should we be able to turn up at a pub beforehand and all be able to get in?

Any help appreciated.

The bus I'm going in is booked into a club, however the bar doesn't open until 11am. Think I'll just head towards the ground when we get parked

It's generally just a case of phoning up places in Glasgow and asking if they will take a bus booking and what they can offer re drink and catering.

Reckon you'll be toiling to get many places serving early doors on semi final day though.

Allison Arms for post match pints, looks like a ****hole, has a great range of craft/Belgian/German beers inside.

If you can't find a pub before the game just stand on the street with your carry out. The glasgow police won't bother about it....

I'm hoping to have a couple in The International which is close to where the buses park. Just up the road from Asda.

Went there the last time we played Falkirk. Had to queue for about half an hour but still managed to sink a few.

Up to them if they want to trawl the Hampden area, looking for a fix...

Pointless booking your bus into the boozer. Unless you're all still on it of course.

We're booked into The Clockwork which opens at 11am. Park the buses, couple of pints, then off to the game.

Hardly worth it for an hour in the pub.

Ah but you do know that some will stay for an hour and a half and that you have to let them past you to get to their seats.

Well I think they should be fined and all the money raised should be shared amongst us über fans (who get there before kick off and leave after the final whistle) at the end of the season.

So because we've had the foresight to book into a pub next to the ground to enable us to have a couple of pints before the game, like many other buses, we're all part-timers who will arrive late and leave early. Really?

About a three minute walk from the West & South stands....and it has a car park for our buses.

To be fair, i think it was just a tongue n cheek comment from IWT1972 no need to get upset. :aok:

That's the one mate. Place was packed full of Hibbies the last semi final v Falkirk. I was there about 9am iirc.

I think it always opens at 8am except on Sunday. You need to buy a breakfast roll with your 1st drink to comply with the licensing laws. Alfredo's across the road is the same...it's a wee bit rougher but usually quieter and quicker to get served.

Try the crystal palace just down from central station. Wetherspoons pub, breakfast and booze then the short walk from the pub to Central station to jump on the train to mount Florida.
