What does everyone recommend for the best area to purchase tickets for the semi final? Ive sat in the East and South upper but didn't really enjoy either. I'm planning on going into the North Stand this time but what does everyone think anyway?

I've always preferred the north but not too low for obvious reasons

I like the look of the North upper however I don't want to be too high. The higher rows of sections D1 or D2 seem to be possibly the best seats available in the North Lower?

The North Upper consists of about 4 rows of hospitality seats. South stand at Hampden is the only one with a proper upper tier.

North Stand for me.

Behind the goals is just too far away from the pitch.

This is the Hampden seating plan. There is also a good interactive tour on

You need flash to view it

What's the one behind the goals with the smoking bit out the back?

I quite liked that. View was good, even way up the back. Could clearly see Kukabi was outside the box so must be better than the ref's view :greengrin

Crap views from most seats in this **** hole of a ground but North and South stands are better than the other two but still not great.

That's alright.

There's a lot of stand snobbery going on here. The east and west are fine unless you are near the front. The view from anywhere near the front in Hampden isn't great anyway so people complaining, especially when it's really cheap, are being a bit precious.

:agree:

Due to how shallow the seating is at Hampden, being near the pitch is a definite drawback. However the view nearer the back, especially in the sections nearest the North Stand (F1 & F2?), is actually OK.

I really don't see it as anything to do with being precious. I've sat in numerous seats behind the goal and the view is nowhere near as good as basically anywhere in ER. The rake is mince and miles away from the by-line. Terrible stadium would happily see it knocked down.

Think you might mean the East. That's where I'm going and the view is alright unless you're near the front.

In my experience and from what I can remember, anywhere in the North is good apart from right at the front. Last time we were there I was in the corner between West and North about half way up, that was a good view as well (my seat was in the West but only a few seats away from the start of the North).

Defo the east stand where you can nip out for a smoke as it is fenced off. There are also burger vans outside. The west stand there are stairs that you have to go down (and up of course) and as far as I know you can't go outside at half time unless your team are 3-0 down and you want to catch the early train. :greengrin
