Can't even pretend to understand how the Kercher family must feel, whether the decision is correct or not.

Imagine if they'd been hanged.

Aye, and imagine if they really are guilty and have got away with it.

Either way, Meredith would still be dead.

Yeah and you'd be in favour of adding another innocent dead person for good measure.
Is this not an example of the process being worked through to help ensure the decision was right? That's what we back to support whatever sentencing we back.

I might be mistaken, but I don't think Phil is in favour of capital punishment, Andy.

I was greatly surprised with this last night, my thoughts remain with the Kercher family, still without answers and justice.

It must be traumatising for Kercher's family (and the two folk found innocent) but someone has been convicted of her murder so I'm not sure that they haven't had justice.

No, the people in favour of capital punishment would now have to take responsibility for the miscarriage, under my system. By supporting the death penalty, they would not be innocent of causing the death of an innocent person.

I'm not, but I would respect the decision of the majority if they were prepared to deal with the consequences of a miscarriage.

Fair point Beefster, he is half way through a 16 year sentence I'd forgotten :aok:

I think they should hang, just in case!

Watching Sollecito's press conference and if ever anyone looked like a killer it's him. Can't shake off the feeling he's loving this. No basis on which to find someone guilty I know, but maybe the police had the same feeling.

I think the same thing every time I see Amanda Knox in front of a camera.
She looks totally false, practiced and insincere. I posted a thread a while back about her micro-expressions whenever she's being interviewed too - visibly nodding before answering no vociferously, smiling before answering about being exonerated...
Again, I've no basis/qualifications in criminology (other than having watched seasons 1-3 of Lie to Me) to say I'm correct - just a feeling!

Aye, a suspended sentence. (The old ones are the best)
Like some of the others above, I think she's well labelled as Foxy Knoxy. While she may not be the actual killer, I've always had the feeling she knows a lot more than she's letting on.

There is one person in jail for it.

Is it because he is black?
