We arrive in Mallorca on Sunday at about 7:30pm. If we want to pick up some beer / wine, are we SOL? I tried searching online and what I did find seemed to indicate - not on Sunday. Anyone with first hand experience?

What century do you think we are living in?

Some stores have restrictions between 10pm and 9am but most holiday resorts will have at least 1 24 hour shop which will have a license to sell alcohol at all times.

Unlike the UK the law on permitted times isn't as strictly enforced, outwith the big supermarkets, due to Spains somewhat better relationship with alcohol than ours.

The OP states 730 pm, it won't be a problem.

Yeah, you haven't provided enough info there Max. You've stated place, day and time, but we really need to know date, month and what century you're living in before we can try and provide an answer...

Different countries have different laws. Thanks for your help. In Massachusetts you can only buy booze on Sundays after 12pm. That was a recent law change. When I moved here in 98 you couldn't buy booze on a Sunday at all (I mean from a shop, not like in a bar).

We can't do that for travel reasons. We could pack and take our own but that's more weight and it won't be cold. :-)

I'm not sure what any of that means. I'm visiting a friend, not shoe shopping.

Seriously? What century are these Spaniards living in?

We're all set. Our friends arrive a day before us and they are going to get us sorted out.
