Berwick tomorrow, Livi on Wednesday and away to Cowdenbeath on Saturday - how will Stubbs make sure the squad keeps their standards up? It'll be a big test of his management skills if he can get the best out of his squad over the next six days. How should he approach this difficult task?

One extra game in midweek is all it is, don't see why it should be an issue given that our squad is massively superior to the opposition we will be playing. Probably will make full use of substitutes once any game seems to be won.

I think he'll make a couple of changes for the Livi game and then go back to the current strongest 11 against Cowdenbeath.

As they're cup tied i'd think Keith Watson and Martin Boyle will come in on Wednesday. If Forster and Cummings don't start tomorrow I think they'll be in with a good shout of starting against Livi as well.

We should be able to make a few changes, mainly as the bench is now so strong, and still have more than enough to beat Livingston at home. Good headache for Stubbs to have though.

We should be able to put out several fringe players and still win these games. I think Stubbs will mix it up ever so slightly however I'm not worrying that we don't have the squad to win all 3 games.
In Stubbs we trust.

Our players should be more than capable of coping with playing Berwick Rangers, Livingston and Cowdenbeath over the next week.

A midweek game isn't - or shouldn't be - a 'difficult task'.

Now in the old days we might have Celtic or Hearts on the Saturday, a trip to SV Hamburg or Porto on the Wednesday, and and another away trip to Pittodrie on the following Saturday. And we thrived on it.

Anything can happen, of course, but three games in a week - at the highest level possible - is what professional football's all about.

Time for the players on the bench to step up to the mark and be counted.

Strongest team tomorrow, get the game won. Then get the likes of Allan off the park once that's done.

Two of the 3 games are against part time teams so shouldn't pose too many problems physically.

:agree: All done with a squad of 13 or 14 too.

Bring in a couple of bench players tomorrow (Cerny, Craig, Stanton maybe).

Watson in for Gray Wednesday. Bring back the main midfielders and rotate a forward or two.

Full strength Saturday. If anyone in particular is struggling then leave them out.

All the new fitness equipment and new coaches and physiotherapists will have them all with thier own individual plans for that week ,and we have more options now to change personnel ,and as someone else pointed out two of the teams are part time ,so really shouldn't be a problem for now , but how we cope with playoffs depending on how far we go in cup ,and what playoff dates are , is a different kettle of fish ,as we won't know till then who is suspended ,injured ,carrying a knock etc . But looking forward to this week ,as we need to progress in cup and get two Leauge wins to keep pressure on All The Kings Men .

Watson and Boyle are cup tied tomorrow so will be fresh for the league games so as can rotate if necessary. He will probably give Robertson a rest in one of the games and play Craig as he needs game time. Can't use the fixture run as an excuse and just need to keep winning and semi final and 2nd spot will be getting close.
