Given our attempts for promotion etc this season, this topic will probably be the last thing in everyone's mind, however I have come across next years Nike catalogue for next season. At first glance there only really seems to be one template suited for us and that being the Victory II template that many of us thought we'd get this season.

looks disappointing on the home shirt front but a few nice ones could be used as an away kit. Like the look of the Challenge template in Purple or even the Lime!

2 more years of Just Sport to go, with any luck we'll switch to someone who will actually manufacture us a kit after the deal expires!

Wouldn't be surprised if we were even switched to Avec, I wouldn't even be disappointed with that, at least then we'd have a bespoke kit!

None of those templates suitable for a Hibs home kit.

If the Victory II top is the only shirt available white white sleeves, then I'd rather we went for the Striker III as modelled in Hibs colours by Sergio Ramos in the catalogue. I really don't like the Chevron thing at the top of the Victory II kit.

Away Kit choice would be either the same shirt (Striker III) in purple or the Park Derby in Black.

Still prefer it if they made us a kit to order though.

Thanks for posting the link to the catalogue

When the deal expires I want us to go to Umbro, a proper UK kit maker currently re-launched thankfully now independent from Nike and producing good kits right now for Everton and Hull.

Nike's sweatshop template crap is just awful.

Dark green shirt, white sleeves, white shorts i.e. the exact same top used in 2012-13.

Is it really too much to ask?

Apparently for Just Sport and Nike, yes it is too much to ask!

Absolutely this.

The other option would be to go for Puma…every year they put a huge amount of thought and effort into producing a white sleeved shirt for Arsenal..they could just make the same one for us in green !

When we were Puma it was Genesis similar to the current Nike & Just Sport arrangement but at least they designed shirts for us with the Puma logo, although I disagree about Arsenal I think their Puma home kit is honking!

If we were getting a new manufacturer my preferences would be Adidas, Umbro or Macron in that order

I have no idea what the quality is like but the design of the current "Hibs" Avec shirt is fantastically retro…Looks like something Stanton and Cropley might have worn :agree:

Home top should stay like this, un-changed, season after season. Let them piss about with their different designs for the away or a 3rd kit if they want. 👍

None of the templates in that pdf are what we really need. Green top with white sleeves is what I hope we go back to, otherwise it's not a Hibs top IMO.

If these templates are forced on us then I suppose the Trophy II number 617 on page 9 would be the best bet. In green obviously.

As long as we go back to green top, white sleeves, change the horrible red sponsor and aren't fed crap about 'working closely with Nike' or it being a tribute to something that it's clearly not, then i'll be happy :greengrin

Nike have it in their locker to make a decent strip, Werder Bremen from 2010 is a classic Hibs top

I fell in love with the style of France's top in the World Cup, so this Werder Strip with White sleeves please

That is a belter of a top, but it also shows what a rip-off replica shirts are, they can sell that one for less than a tenner yet once the club crest and sponsors logo is there and they're calling it an official club shirt suddenly it is the best part of £50. This is a football wide problem not a dig at hibs.

Another example of scottish football trying to keep up with the richer and bigger neighbours. Why do we need to use Nike or Adidas or another big brand name.

We will be a pimple of a customer for these huge brands. A bit like a school football team.

Break the mould. Do something different. Do something for the fans (customers).

Imagine if we were to broker a deal with a much smaller manufacturer where a green and white hibs top (agreed in advance with the fans) could be retailed for say £25 (still with significant profit for manufacturer and club). What a brilliant PR story that would be and would get international recognition as it would be so far removed from the nonsense prices being charged elsewhere to fans around the world.

Using the avec top as an example. I have no idea about quality of this top but I bet it is just fine. Avec are making a margin at £9.99 (adult) and £7.99 (child). Hibs could easily sell thousands if it was priced at £25 (or less).

It has the look of a classic Hibs shirt with no sponsor which will do for me.

Given the dissatisfaction with the red Marathon sponsorship, why don't you suggest we get Guinness to sponsor us instead?

You'd get your harp without ignoring the rest of our history, and the club would get a nice earner.
