Head to Zizkov district for a wee pub crawl, less tourists than the old town and ridiculously cheap. Watch out for the taxi drivers though, they'll fleece you at the drop of a hat. When heading from the airport into town get the airport bus (stops outside the metro station near the airport) then jump on the metro into the centre, much cheaper than a taxi.

Yes watch out for the dodgy taxi drivers. Was there in 2000 with 2 mates and got taken on a tour of the city in his lada when we only wanted to go a few miles, he then drove us to a back street and demands £100 for the fare! When he pulled his knife out we knew he was serious so we handed over about £30 and then managed to do a runner!

If you use the subway make sure you validate your ticket (time stamp it) as soon as you buy it.
We got a spot fine due to our naivety an hour after we arrived.
A workmate was also a victim of a swarm mugging on the subway, so be careful.
Also note, elderly people can demand your seat on the bus/tram although that's not a complaint.
Go see the John Lennon Wall (graffiti), the castle and the Charles Bridge.
Beautiful city with humourless well-dressed residents.
