Anyone at home except Celtic.

Would rather avoid trip to ICT or the Arabs.

Celtic are miles ahead so would be major shock if they didn't stoll it.

I would like Raith Rovers at home in the next round for three reasons:

A home tie, a chance to put things right against Raith who put Hibs out last year and have robbed us twice this season, and the Huns oot.

If they're chucking five new players straight into the starting line up they might be in for a shock tomorrow.

They're above us in the league.

Doesn't matter though. League standings mean nothing. Leicester City are below Tottenham but still beat them in the cup on their own patch, the same goes for Crystal Palace against Southampton. The Rangers are gash. We've outplayed them and humped them on our two league encounters with them this season. Both the 3-1 & 4-0 scorelines flattered them as it could have been a hell lot more.

Really not bothered who we get, however as long as it's not Celtic I'n the final.
Dylan would play ( bonus ) but not only that the size of crowd we would take and after the last final at the end the noise from us was immense.

This may just make 2 or 3 out of contract players sign another contract / extension or even for us ( Dylan ).

Been a very long time since I've wanted players to re- sign. For this alone I hope we do get to the final.

Funnily enough, a game at Parkhead might not be a terrible draw.
We're good away from home, it's a big pitch and we play good stuff.
Also, is there a Europa League tie around the time of the SC QF for Celtc?
If so, this round is the one where they would be most vulnerable, home or away.
Cue us away at Tannadice and Cetlc at home to Spartans then...

If we get Celtic at any stage before the cup final we wont be going to the cup final so best we get a lesser team (maybe not Raith Rovers though), personally, I'd like Dundee United at home to see how far we have come - would be interesting to compare the game against the encounter earlier on in the season ....

Bunch of Bed wetters - I would want to beat them in the Final 3-0.

Things haven't worked out too well for us in the last two Scottish Cup finals against them have they? - exactly the score you are predicting, on both occasions...for them.

Our chances of taking them out are much better at a packed ER or half empty Parkhead than at the final in May (imo).

--------
09-02-2015, 12:47 PM
Potentially we have to be ready to play and beat any of those sides at some point, so I don't think it really matters. I wouldn't say that any of those potential ties will be a dawdle, and I wouldn't disrespect Berwick or Spartans as some here seem to be prepared to do. Stranger things have happened.

So I'd go along with the argument that if we're going to get a tough draw, better now than later.

I'm not totally convinced about the 'advantages' of a home crowd, mind - we might be better away from home with the travelling support getting right behind us.

Applauding our own guys and giving the opposition pelters rather than the other way round, in other words.
