Watched half of this on Ch5 then turned it off through sheer embarrassment. Couple of obese folk, some dude who had cosmetic surgery and a boy who broke his leg playing rugby.... Aye they're to blame for it eh.... Then there was the presenter, Nick Ferarri?!! What a complete tool. Wouldn't let him present a twat of the year award.. Which he would win anyway..

Channel 5, nuff said! Home of other documentaries such as "the girl with seven mums", "worlds scariest animal attacks 2", "nazi titanic" and "help, there's a rhino in my house".

I switched it off too. I watched it long enough to see that they changed the panel of "experts". WTF was that about?

As you say, the programme was embarrassing and made a mockery of a very important subject.

The only person who made any sense was the angry woman in the audience, but she got short shrift from the idiotic presenter.

I actually emailed the channel to tell them what a waste of an opportunity it was.

I feel compelled to write to you to voice my feelings about last night’s debate about the NHS even though I’m not fully qualified to do so, as I switched channel due to the acute embarrassment and anger I was feeling.

Here was an opportunity to increase the channel’s credibility by discussing what is probably the most important subject in British society.

Instead, we had Nick Ferrari (singularly the most incompetent presenter I have had the misfortune to witness) trivialising the subject and trying to sensationalise it by blaming immigrants, obese people and someone who’d had cosmetic surgery for the perilous position the NHS finds itself in.

I haven’t put a great deal of effort into this email, but that’s in keeping with the programme.

Awful, awful waste of air time.

Sincerely

I couldn't watch it either. I also found Julie Etchingham's ITV programme on Britain's slave trade extremely hard to watch - mainly because of the content but also because of the presenter.

Matthew Richardson of UKIP gave us a wonderful insight into his views on the NHS recently.
What a caber he is.
