Watched the highlights of the Congo match last night, the commentators were slagging Malonga for missing "a sitter" in spite of the fact that he was clearly forced to slow his run at the last second to prevent the pass running behind him which meant he couldn't get any power into his shot. As it was his pass to set up the Congo goal was inch perfect, something the 'experts' gave him no credit for.

They also failed to mention he is a Hibs player .... though they had no problem pointing out current and previous English league players.

His pass for the goal was sublime and perfectly weighted .He hadn't been on the park that long and isn't used to playing international football and these could be mitigating circumstances .But he had the chance to be a real hero .Thought he let it run slightly behind him so he didn't connect that well with the ball ,and shot was too timid ,and placed too near the goalkeeper.
Think he will get more game time ,but if he wanted to start the next game he did himself no favours by missing that opportunity .
But remember the last time he was away he came back and promptly scored a Hat Trick for us .
