ICT v ST. Johnstone pay what you can

Interesting idea for the ICT v ST. Johnstone game on 20 January. Supporters will be asked to pay what they can to attend. It got me thinking if Hibs did the same in a similar fixture what would you pay.

I would be around a tenner and treat the bairns to something out the club shop.

Good idea and worth a try given the low crowds turning out for some fixtures, especially if the weather stays grim.

It will be interesting to see what the attendance is for this fixture.

I'd pay £15 unless we were playing Celtic, the rangers or the saviles.

Been done to death on here so I won't go in to my view on the pricing this season, but I think Scottish Football in general is over-priced.

It was Brentford v Rotherham last weekend. It didn't add too many onto the gate - maybe an extra 1k, although Brentford are flying high at the moment and getting decent crowds by their standards anyways (c9-10k) each week.

Albion Rovers did it for a game last season and, after it was a success, extended it to season tickets this season. Sales increased by 500% and revenue by 250%.

Obviously, there are factors behind those figures which would not apply at other "bigger" clubs.

I'd pay about 50 quid NOT to attend. If they wanted any more than that I'd grudgingly trek along (assuming I lived locally) but doubt I'd last till half-time.

No, but I'd have an educated guess than an extra 10% added onto the crowd wouldn't be more profitable when people are paying what they want.

I'd have a guess we'd see roughly a similar increase to hibs attendance - maybe about 10-11k mark rather than the 9k ish we seem to be getting at the moment for cat B games.

I think ticket prices over £20 are a psychological barrier, a bit like £3 a pint was a few years ago.

I don't agree with charging kids (U16's) at all, they're the future of any teams support and everything that can be done to get kids along should be..

Compromise would be a £1
