This is the guy who killed his mum, dismembered her body and buried remains in a shallow grave at Corstorphine.
He got 9 years custodial sentence plus 9 years supervision on release.
I haven't read all the details but he sounds like he is a risk to society...no?
9 years seems like a very low sentence especially if out within say 5?

I only heard a short snippet on the news, but I believe the sentence was due to diminished responsibilty. Apparently he believed his mum was a Reptile.

Can we sign him on a pre-release agreement? Discuss!

Be surprised if he isn't in Carstairs within the year. Then he has to prove he is sane before he ever gets out - this usually takes a lot longer than the time it would take to serve his sentence.
You'd have to be mad to bury your victim a mile away from your house.

I was amazed by this sentence. He chopped up his old mum for god's sake!

How far from your house would be a sensible distance?

Out of interest, what would be a sensible distance from your house to bury your victim?
