View Full Version : Crowd vs Falkirk

Hoping for a decent crowd, new signings and in good form.

Saturdays game is the biggest game of our season so far IMO, we need a win to keep up momentum and extend our lead over them!

We were poor against them last time around and should of pumped them at home so we are due them.

Dot counting looks like a no bad crowd at the minute.

I'll be there hoping he puts on a show. clearly he'll be MOM anyway but I'd love it if he played like he did v Rangers again.

That plus this horrendous weather Am hedging my bets till Saturday .if Cummings appeal had been lost and gray doesn't play and we hadn't signed a Striker it would have been a poorer crowd but encouraging it's already over 10.000 It's a Massive game given they were last team to beat us and are pushing to get into top four .
On the back of the draw with Hearts it really is a game we need to win so should be intriguing fixture even if weather ain't great It's all about the result this one and don't care how we do it as long as we win

Hopefully there's a decent crowd tomorrow, but a lot might depend on what the weather's like on the day.

This is a very important game for Hibs. Three points is a must. If Hibs score early they should go on to win (again, hopefully).

If Hibs don't score early it's important the fans and the players don't get frustrated and let it show. It's a certainty Falkirk will come to try to frustrate Hibs, just like nearly every team that comes to ER.

It'll be worse. High winds, rain, sleet, possible snow, 3 degrees wind chill about -7. Wrap up warm.

It still baffles me why we haven't even tried summer football. Works in other countries and surely to god more folk would turn out? Yes we have summer days when it's pouring down but not that many and I'd rather watch a summer game in wet weather than a winter game in the cold and rain!!

Or even, as a compromise, what about a winter shutdown from lets say after the New Year fixtures for 4-6 weeks?

I know the weather can still be awful in Scotland outwith that time frame but at least it would avoid some of the worst of it.

Yeah something needs to happen. I feel we would see more fans at games in warmer weather than pouring rain and wind!

For the first time in a long time I feel we have a really exciting team and manager. I attended sporadically under Fenlon but the routine of just going week in week out was really broken by the Calderwood era. Once you get out of the habit of going, and considering I come up from Manchester, it's hard to get back in.

The last game I went was 3-0 v Killie, 29th of December 2013. That was a few days before I moved to Barcelona and I couldn't go without saying goodbye to the Hibernian F.C, the great love of my life. Back from Spain now so I'll be attending regularly god willing. Already got my tickets for Raith Rovers on 31st :agree:

They already do that in a number of countries. The Bundesliga is on a Winter Break just now.

No such thing as bad weather, just incorrect clothing.

Get wrapped up properly and its not problem. I see most people goign to the game dressed as it they are going to sit in the pub or the cinema for 2 hours as opposed to being static in freezing temperatures.

Get it sorted!

That's easy for you to say, Andy, but some of us have 80's unreconstructed 'hard man' images to live up to. I need to be wearing a loose fitting top and trousers in order to maximinise the volume of blows I can rain down on opposing supporters, stewards, Police and anybody else who fancies a 'wee dash.' Then retire to the hospitality for a large gin and tonic.

If the weather was decent Id have expected us to be close to the 12000 mark tomorrow as it seems a few lapsed supporters are starting to come back. However the weather forecast is horrendous which will probably mean a crowd of about 9000 unfortunately. GGTTH
