Beat Hearts and we can catch them. Our incremental improvement is showing and i'm still convinced their 'double and triple' training sessions will end up tiring them in the run in to the league. Of course they've got an enormous lead but we are so confident now

We'll need to put together a run of 8-9 wins to catch them, although last time we were in div one we had a great run over xmas/ new year

Three back to back wins. Four fantastic goals against the new club (still Scotland's shame). Another clean sheet at ER. How the hell the new club have gathered 35 points so far is unbelievable really, but they are getting found out now big-style.Hibs totally dominated this match from start to finish.

Ian Black - if I was him I would go away and hide. What an absolutely loathsome wee s****. He was going to seriously injure a Hibs player today had he not been substituted, in the most humiliating fashion.

Where are they getting the money from?

My nephew is a former journalist who worked for the BBC and is currently in a senior position at a Scottish Premiership club. He warned me about Terry Butcher and Malpas before their appointments and to my shame I was very dismissive. He reckons that they are in such a desperate situation that the money will be found from the board.

CropleyWasGod

How much do you think Ashley stands to lose if rangers don't get promoted?

My point is, as things stand they haven't the cash to get there. I can't see that they would spend money on a new manager, when all that will do is bring the tipping point closer.

As far as Ashley is concerned, he is out £3m just now, which is secured. He's getting diddley squat from the merchandising.

Not knocking your sources, but as things are I think it would be a very risky thing to do. Things might change if the new investment happens, but that's all ifs and maybes just now.

Anyways, like I care.....:greengrin He would be the first to admit things change but there is something deeply wrong with Ranger's recruitment structure. The game today for me was deeply satisfying considering the heartache we have all experienced over the last few years. I can see light at the end of the tunnel and I can sense a determination from the club, the team and the supporters to make sure no one switches it off. It would be wonderful to put the Jambos to the sword next week.

Not a mention of Buy Hibs/ Hands on Hibs any where to be seen on the messageboard tonight. It's further proof that when things go right in the park then the off field politics pale into insignificance.

Pleasing, very pleasing.

How much do you think Ashley stands to lose if rangers don't get promoted?

Sweeties compared to what his net worth is.

When Scott Allen stepped up to Ian Black in the first few minutes and showed him who's the boss, summed up today for me. We need to do that to Hearts next week. Today was a fantastic team performance, and if we continue like that- then very good times lie ahead.

Brilliant day :scarf:

I agree. The huns set out (particularly in the 2nd half) to bully us about, and i years gone by we have have teams that would just accept that and be bullied but today I saw us standing up to them. We NEED to do that next week, get in their faces right from the start.

Hearts are brimming with confidence at the moment and are arrogant so we need to go there and show them right from the beginning that we are not scared of them.

I don't think Ashley got where he is by allowing loss-making situations to continue.

I see the Daily Mail has awarded us a bonus point for our win -

"Before the game, Rangers were second in the Scottish Championship, seven points clear of third-place Hibernian

Hibs have now closed the gap to three points after thrashing Rangers"

Worthy of a dvd?

Another couple of goals would have been nice but the quality of the performance and the goals themselves as well as the comedy factor thrown in from their side would be enough for me to buy it. It was a lesson on how to play football against a team of has been's and so called top professionals on much higher wages.

Maybe it is unnecessary in the age of sky plus etc but I would want to buy it...

Thoughts?

Definitely not for me. I'd be embarrassed to bring out a DVD. Not that I don't think we were incredible, but it's only one league game. Save dvds for cup wins

:tee hee:

The bonus point should be for the way Scott Allan completely ripped the pish out them. Surreal performance from him.

Scroll to the end of the commentary, Roddy Forsyth gets a bit carried away and perhaps shows his true colours:greengrin

I love the way Pat refers to them as The Rangers.

I kinda know what you mean, if happily open a couple of cans and sit through the 92 minutes all over again
