Always has been and always will be a ridiculous rule.

Hopefully its just the Belfast variety of huns who have anything to celebrate over the festive season.

Shame he picked up a 2nd booking!Shame he took his shirt off when he already had a booking. Good job his team managed to hold on to the lead.

Maybe but is there actually a real need to remove ones shirt when scoring a goal ?

Very true. I prefer to celebrate exceptional goals by removing ones pants.

Is there a need to punish it though?

If there's some offensive message on the t-shirt perhaps, but otherwise I just don't see the issue.

Booking players for celebrating a goal with or without a shirt is an absolute joke.
I know there are circumstances where it's done to provoke the opposing fans ect but in front of your own fans I see no problem.
Great to see Ivan still enjoying his football, will always have a lot of time for the player and the man.
He's a Hibs legend :agree:

I think the problem there is that what counts as offensive would be open to interpretation so having a blanket ban on removing shirts was easier.

It is a stupid rule imo but it is a rule and has been for some time so players really should know better by now.

With Cocopops being a keeper, the only goals he has scored are own goals and l don't think he would want to celebrate them :greengrin
