As the transfer window approaches its opening this forum will soon be full of rumours and red herrings and the usual "my brothers neighbours hairdressers dog says..."
However I'd love to see us go for a loan deal for the Bournemouth player Tokelo Rantie. We all know what he was like when we played Malmo and he currently isn't getting game time despite being the Bournemouth record signing.

Just a thought rather than the usual names.

Was very impressed with him. Would be class but can't see it happening.

We would need to find our way out of his back pocket first....

He was like Sproule on a motorbike.........I think his success that night had more to do with our woeful defence than his electrifying play, some game he had mind.

Pretty sure he's in RSA's squad for the Cup of Nations so will be absent for a month or so.

By the time he stopped laughing at the proposal the transfer windows would've closed.

Remember thinking while it was a shocking performance by us the boy was head and shoulders above anything I had seen at ER in a long while. V surprised when he went to Bournemouth

I've been watching Hibs since the early 90s and I can't remember as impressive a 90 minutes from anyone else against us, ever.

He was immense that night.

It was he and his team mates which made me not go back to ER for a year or so.

Anyone remember Turnbull's Tornadoes back in the 70's 2 - 1 up against Juventus and they brought on some old guy called Altifini.

Different class altogether ! Final Score 2 - 4.

My best individual performance was Billy Bremner for Leeds against Hibs at ER in the 70s. Simply incredible.

Bremner strolled that game, i was amazed at his footballing ability as i thought he was just a wee midfield hard man.

I thought he was incredible, Hamad was also superb. They had a good team actually, and seem to be going from strength to strength reaching the CL group stages.

Back this year, new manager and new hope, at least the football is better to watch.

Jose Altafini - he was 36 and fast as **** :greengrin Best performance I've seen from a visiting player. Bremner was good but we let him be. I maintain that if ET had told Jimmy O'Rourke to stay in Bremner's face the wee Leeds man wouldn't have looked so great :agree:

I don't mind the occasional draw here and there as Stubbs was 4-5 weks late into pre season before he could get his team assembled, as you can see now, there is a shape and a system in place, football is easier on the eye and players do seem to be playing more for the club now. There seems a better squad harmony and all things coming out of ER are positive which is nice for a change, onwards and upwards.
