Hearts postponed game last weekend meant a rigorous training session.............

From the Evening news article...

Nonetheless, that did not mean an unexpected day off for the Hearts players. They underwent a rigorous training session as Neilson and his coaching staff sought to continue the habit of pushing their players hard every Saturday afternoon. “We decided to go to World of Soccer [in Edinburgh] to try and get a wee bit of training in and now we get prepared to play Alloa this Saturday,” he continued

WORLD OF SOCCER !!!! Really ???? :greengrin

The big team that plays in the smaller stadium and was within hours of going pop. That can't happen in many cities.

Probably not the worst idea to train on a plastic pitch ahead of playing at Alloa on their plastic pitch.

Especially seen as its in a big barn and protected from the wintry coldness.

Don't think we're in much of a position to slag what they are doing on the pitch as it seems to be working.

It's great fun watching a Hearts fan try to answer the question 'how are you a big team? Give example to support your answer'.

Their trophy record, attendances, European participation etc is far more comparable (and in some instances inferior) to ourselves, Aberdeen and Dundee United than it is to any other generally accepted big/bigger club.

Totally and utterly deluded.

Ha ha, is it, **** them then - Cannae even afford their own training facilities, bunch of tramps.

Too caught up in a Facebook dispute about how they are congratulating each other on clearing their 'Football Debt' to pay any attention to where this game is being played.

Agreed. But as I'm sure you know the word soccer was first used by the English. Rugby football was known as rugger and Asoc(iation) football as soccer.

It's World of Football isn't it? Out at the Corn Exchange? They have a 7 a side barn there not a full size pitch.

This is what big teams who don't have their own training facilities do, use leisure facilities...

Their whole "we are the big team, your forever in our shadow etc." delusion used to annoy me but now its simply comical. It is worrying though that a group of people can have such a huge collective delusion but hey ho, i'm quite happy to let them diddle along in their pathetic wee fantasy world.

Pretty sure that's true of people in the next world, too. My understanding is that virtually all the fatalities in WWI were associated with Hearts FC.

:agree:Even if you measure it by which team has bumped the most people for most money, biggest single total liability to creditors etc there's nae doubt on every front where there is actual evidence they deserve the title "biggest".

Let us know how the number of fans have actually been counted and verified, locally, never mind worldwide. Always wondered.

Yep, at last a Hibs fan who is a realist. Hearts 16 major trophies clearly eclipse our own meagreness return of 9. We are the wee team, always have been and always will be. In fact we are dead on our feet after the final of 2012:confused:

Hearts are the only football club that you can see from space. FACT.

To be honest I couldn't care less if they are 5 or 10% bigger or whatever. I'm fairly comfortable when it comes to our size.

"Superiority complex is a psychological defense mechanism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_mechanism) in which a person's feelings of superiority counter or conceal his or her feelings of inferiority.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superiority_complex#cite_note-1) The term was coined by Alfred Adler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Adler) as part of his School of Individual psychology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Individual_psychology). It was introduced in his series of books, including "Understanding Human Nature" and "Social Interest"."

Napoleon complex, is a pejorative term describing a psychological condition which is said to exist in people, both men and women, of short stature. It is also known as 'Napoleonic Complex'. [1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleon_complex#cite_note-telegraph-1) It is characterized by overly-aggressive or domineering social behavior, and carries the implication that such behaviour is compensatory for the subject's stature. The term is also used more generally to describe people who are driven by a perceived handicap to overcompensate in other aspects of their lives. Other names for the term include Napoleon syndrome[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleon_complex#cite_note-2) and Short Man syndrome.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleon_complex#cite_note-BBC_2007_03_28-3)
