Just watching this on the news, absolutely unbelievable, how anyone can justify this to themselves is beyond my comprehension.

100 children, mindlessly gunned down by a group of cowardly *******s...most of the children are probably Muslim as well.

Indiscriminate and barbaric.

I don't think being muslim even matters to them. Its all about bringing society back to medieval times. In fact being an apostate or not radical enough is more of a sin than being from a different religion. Malala Yousafzai's bbc blog is always worth reading to understand what its like trying to be a child in rural Pakistan with the Taliban running about.

An absolutely unspeakable act.

I worry there's now a push by the extremists to do something catastrophic, another 9/11 type of massive terror attack I think is in the air.

I never thought I'd see it in my lifetime, but is it at the point now where if there's an attack on British soil, people are going to be so scared that they're going to arm themselves to protect their families? If something like this happened local to me, I'd consider it. How bad does it need to get before we start fearing our friends and neighbours? Is this what they want? For the fear to spread and for us to perhaps start turning on each other?

Killing over 100 school children is beyond my comprehension of unspeakable acts, I just cannot get my head around why any human, whether brainwashed or not, can perform an act of such extremism.

Yup. The school was educating girls. Unforgivable to the Taliban.

Religious extremists of whatever variety always seem to find their first targets among moderates of their own label.

Mind, when the US are flying drones around rural Afghanistan taking out the occasional wedding-party on the say-so of some geek computer-jockey in a Nissen hut in Nevada ......
