Mingolet dropped for Jones and no recognised striker starting for Liverpool today.

United start with Rooney, Van Persie and Wilson up top.

Couple of great saves by De Gea. United will do well to keep hold of him when Madrid inevitably come calling in the summer.

Neville went on about Mata's goal for forever, whilst completely ignoring the fact that it was obviously offside.

A poor United team that have very quietly crept up the table.

They are probably 3 players away from being a very good team.

So what your saying is if ref and linos had been on form it could have been man u down to 9 liverpool 10 and still 1-0?

Glad to see Liverpool lose yet again.

Could someone please explain to me what the point is of Mario Balotelli?

Did absolutely nothing when he came on apart from continually foul people.

Hope Bournemouth beat them in midweek too.

Promising period for United. They seem to have forgotten all about their troubles from last season and are back on track at Old Trafford. They also now have one of the best goalkeepers in the world between the sticks.

And they've still got Di Maria, Blind, Shaw, Rojo, Rafael and Smalling to come back from injury as well.

Things are looking good for them just now. They won't win the title this season as Chelsea and Manchester City are too strong but they're looking good for a return to Champions League football again next season which is vital.

Liverpool's worst start for fifty years. They are a point worse off than they were under Hodgson at this stage. It's a dramatic decline from almost being champions last season, and Rodgers will have to sort this out fast if he's to keep his job. He's wasted a lot of money of the summer: £20 million on Lovren has to be one of the worst ever transfers; Moreno soiled himself every time Valencia ran at him. He needs results right now.

Unless he can somehow turn Mario Balotelli into Luis Suarez then they're doomed.
