I'm beginning to hate fb.
I presume you can turn auto-video play off (fb implemented that feature and switched it on without my asking) so I ended up watching A video where a child of about 12 punches another full on the face in what Appears to be a changing room I found it pretty disgusting (and yes I know there's much worse out there but when it comes to kids I don't think this is something a responsible org will condone...)

so I report. It is reviewed and I'm told Doesn't violate policy for violence.
So I feedback unhappy
later another note - revised decision and video/account removed
Lter a further note - revised decision and the video & account restored (this also updated the previous notification in relation to removing)

itd be a joke if there weren't worrying undertones to that video and the associated comment with it glorying the incident.

Just what exactly is the point in their policy and why the hokey-

So what next ? I tweeted fb and Zuckerberg, Child line and NSPCC. I'll see what comes of that but not holding my breath.

whats been your experience? And they take down a pic of a mother breastfeeding !!!

I reported a video a few months back, guy putting flammable liquid on a puppy in a bucket then lighting it.
Decision was it didn't violate their policy?!?

They might not be able to be policing everything everywhere but they need to up their game on the policy front - seems like a number of automated responses so they can appear to be responding. I don't know what the answer is but they have to have some level of social responsibility.

It is possible to switch it off.

If you're on the app (on android anyway). Choose the button with three lines (next to your notifications). Scroll down to general settings and then video auto play is there.

Myself and some friends had posts removed that were related to the referrendum - totally non violent, racist or otherwise offensive to anyone other than (possibly) whoever decides what content is reported on by our mainstream media outlets. Pages like Britain First who regularly incite racial hatred are seemingly left unmonitored though.

I'm not paranoid enough to think that Face Book themselves have any kind of agenda - pretty sure they don't care about British politics - but thier policy for removing offensive content definitely needs revised. Maybe I'll write a script to report a post 100 times in a minute, to see if it gets removed.

Facebook is for women and children.

I have no inclination to read what a grown man has had for their tea.

Can you give us an example of what referendum material was removed?

I'll have a think but right now, I'm running late for a 'work do'.

I guess posts are removed for, amongst other things, being reported X number of times. Dumfries & Galloway has a high percentage of No voters, so it was probably some fanny who thought the BBC bias stuff we were posting was paranoid nonsense and/or, didnt want anyone else to have thier eyes opened to the absolute farce that is our mainstream media. - because they had a vested interest in the referendum (like most folks).

Sorry if thats incomprehensible, must dash!
