I don't know the finer details, but from what I'd read in the press, and seen on the TV, since this happened, I assumed he'd go down for this.

Given how long they have fought to have him extradited I though the case against him must be watertight.

Like yourself don't know the finer details but from the reports I have read it seems the case presented is a bit of a shambles.

He's certainly not been found to be 'innocent', rather the evidence to the contrary was unreliable, inconsistent and full of holes.

The problem stems from the state relying on the testimonies of three people who were party to the murder of his wife in one way, shape of form...

I feel very sorry for the Denborg family - they've had absolutely no justice whatsoever.

He has been found to be innocent.

He was innocent at the start of the day and he remains innocent.

I thought the murderer was in jail?

In what way have they had no justice whatsoever?

I thought the murderer was in jail?

I think he's dead (albeit he died in jail).

He has been found to be innocent.

Wrong.

He was innocent at the start of the day and he remains innocent.

Wrong.

I thought the murderer was in jail?

Correct (dead) along with the other guy and taxi driver.

In what way have they had no justice whatsoever?

Because her family still have no idea what his involvement was, despite evidence pointing to his orchestrating their daughter's murder.

He won't answer for why he was seen handing a package to the taxi driver.

He won't answer for the record of calls/texts between him and the taxi driver.

He won't answer how the three others in the crime all implicated him with the same story (of course, they could have fabricated the same story, granted).

Why should he?

It's not for him to prove his innocence. It's for the prosecution to prove his guilt. They haven't done that.

He is innocent, found not guilty on all charges according to the trial judge. But there was a documentary a couple years back think it was panorama which did an investigation and concluded the evidence did not not add and that he was getting set up by the two murderers. This poor man has seen his new wife killed been accused had a breakdown and forced to stand trial with little evidence against him. He is a victim in this case as well as his wife

Wrong.

Wrong.

Aren't people in South Africa presumed innocent until proved guilty?

Correct (dead) along with the other guy and taxi driver.

Indeed. So there has been some justice. You're speculating that someone else was involved, even when the judge has ruled that there isn't the evidence to prove that.

He's not been called to testify.

A lot of these texts and phone calls were shown to be made up by the taxi driver. The package was apparently to pay for a helicopter trip Togo had arranged. Also the three were allowed to meet after being arrested where it is believed they fabricated a story, this would appear to be true given the massive holes in the three mens stories.

Lol. Yes, the BBC is even more authoritative than the Court of Public Opinion.
