I remember the days when Motherwell at Fir Park was a hard fixture - they keep defending like this and Celtic will put 7 or 8 past them.

Should be 0-3 inside 10 minutes. 0-1 as it stands.

I thought Allan Preston doing Hibs game was bad but this, wow. It's just as well it's only a radio program because I'm pretty sure he's just sat there playing with himself occasionally butting in on the mic whenever he reaches the vinegars.

This is the live game on setanta today, and they are running right through Arsenal. They have won every 50/50 and most of the 40/60s.

The BBC has a yam reporting on the yam game (again), a St. Mirren fan at the St. Mirren game and someone with Sevco connections at Ibrox.

Why are they engineer bias commentary and reporting when they should be doing the exact opposite?

I could be wrong here, but I don't think the BBC are obliged to be neutral when it comes to covering football matches.

I know they have to show political neutrality (well, they're supposed to...), however I don't believe that they have any responsibility to ensure the same with football games. In fact, if you think about the national team's coverage, it tends to be fairly partisan.

That's not to say that they shouldn't be neutral, I think it's a better experience for their viewers and listeners if the reporters don't soil their pants every time something either goes their way or goes against them.

Agreed. I think the problem here is not that they often send people to cover the team they support, it's that Preston is a prize fanny.

Manchester City 1-0 up against Everton with a Yaya Toure penalty

A few minutes before that, City should have been down to ten man after an assault by Mangala but he was only booked.

You might want to amend my original post as I've just noticed that I missed out quite a crucial word! :greengrin

Of course, City are 1-0 up through a Yaya Toure penalty and not just a Yaya Toure!

Yeah the ref is having a shocker here.

Another hat-trick for Ronaldo and another three points for Real Madrid.

He's now scored an amazing 23 hat-tricks in La Liga in just over five years in Madrid. That record is better than Alfredo Di Stefano which gives you an idea of how great his goalscoring records actually are and his goals were spread over 13 years.

In total, he now has 200 league goals in just 178 appearances for Real Madrid since he moved there in July 2009.

That's an average of almost 40 goals a year he's scoring there.

Incredible.
