Another away test for us on Saturday ...will be a good measure of how far we have come - they are capable of turning any team over, but we do need to get 3 points. What's people views ? Expectations ?

When was the last time Falkirk actually beat us at their place? 2006?

I thought falkirk were dreadful when they beat us earlier in the season. Still can't believe we never won that game by 3 or 4.

On paper though it probably should be one of our more difficult games. Still think we'll win though.

One drawback is that we'll be missing Malonga. Our last match without him was dire.

Yep posted on another thread that without Malonga Cummings has struggled if played on his own up top and to date we don't seem to have found a permutation that works as well .
So from that point of view I think this is possibly a trickier game to be as confident about winning Team selection could help The key to getting the win

I'd rather QOS beat hearts by 3 or 4. 2 bad defeats in a row would start to put the pressure on the ship called dignity.

If QOS do win I can't see it being by 3 or 4.

I will be starting the match thread for a 3rd week in a row and I'm very confident that Hibs will secure another 3 points, that's my view.

Yep.

December 2006.

Liam Craig scored the winner for them.

It's their only home win against us since leaving Brockville.

We seem to have got the hang of away games, Hibs win.

As for wanting Hearts to beat Queens, get a grip. It's the first weekend in December.

The popular consensus is that it's because he's an undercover Yam.

I make no such claims, just passing on the information

We've had a few 'difficult' games recently with injuries and the guys coming in haven't quite stepped upto the mark but hopefully since we're on a bit of a run, the momentum will carry on and we see a couple of goals from the guys coming in

oh, and a clean sheet

Falkirk can't play at home the way they played at ER. They will fancy this one and that means we will get chances. If we play two up and stick to our passing game we have nothing to fear. It is about time we started getting a bit meaner at the back though. 0-2 would do fine.

Falkirk to attack and Hibs to score a few on the break.

3-1 Hibs.

Yes but QOTS killed that game with their draw at all costs tactics .
Falkirk at home is a different kettle of fish .
Hibs at 13-10 is imho a great price . We want 7 ( away wins ) on the trot .

should be interesting who AS decides to bring in for Malonga ... for me hope to f£ck its not Alex Harris !! AS seems to think that he still gives us something ....sorry but not in my eyes and Hefferman is to one paced to make any impact nowadays .... so that leaves us with Sinclair, Lewis Allan, Kennedy or Stanton .. sensible money is on Stanton a fine vane of form in the 20's and definitely a better goal threat than the others even that of Lewis Allan .... is Craig fit for today ? it's all gone quiet with that one !

Having said all of this I wouldn't be surprised to see us having a different shape today ....... mix it up a bit !!!

Craig will be having a fitness test as close to the game as possible is what Stubbs said on Interview.

If we play like we did in the first game against them (but manage to take a chance or two somewhere along the line) we'll be fine. If we'd won by 5 goals last time Falkirk couldn't have complained, so I'm hoping a more confident Hibs side can do the damage today and keep our run going.

It will make a difference at the end of the season if we are playing 4 playoff games or 6. Points and goal difference on the board now is what we need.

Finishing 3rd or 4th would result in same amount of games played though.

I have to say that I'm not that bothered about how the Yams get on today, would rather they lost if I had to pick, but I'm more concerned with Hibs picking up 3 points. I've mentioned this previously, but we remain (IMHO) the best team I've seen live this season and I believe that with some good additions in January we will pick up more points than the teams above us between now and the end of the season.

I think the gap's too big for us to overtake the Yams, they will win the league IMHO, but I do think we will finish ahead of The Rangers and QotS. We are finding some consistency now, I think we are very likely to sort our home form out as well because the confidence is getting back into the players and the support, so even allowing for a couple of blips along the way I think we'll be promoted after having finished 2nd.

Today's match is one of those classic situations where Hibs could do themselves a big favour by picking up all 3 points, as something has to give between QOS and HOMFC. Can they do it though?

It's a difficult one to call today, but the first goal as always will be very important. Score first, and Hibs have got a great chance.
