Looking forward to seeing him and Malonga together up top, or even a trio with Cummings slightly deeper.

Quite incredible to think that he's back in training barely 3 months after picking up an injury that in years gone by would have seen a player sidelined for the best part of a year.

Hope to see him back in the next couple of months. If he could make his return when Malonga will be away with Congo then that would be ideal.

Good news for Farid, the club, and the supporters. He will need a few games to get back fully up to speed once he is able to return to playing in the first team.

Obviously surgery etc making huge improvements but with these shorter recovery times the loss of physical condition is minimised too so getting match fit is quicker too, it is a huge step forward for the modern player

How long then for first team come back - best case 2 weeks light training, 2 weeks full training, 2 weeks u20 games and then 1st team. So mid to end of Jan?

Miles of I'm afraid, don't expect to see farid back in this context until February at the earliest and by that I suspect late feb. Again an example of everything that is positive about hibs right now and an example of how we have so much to look forward to when the big man is back. Him and do do do do will cause havok IMO

IIRC when Killen did his Achilles at Pittodrie he didn't play much of a part for the remainder of the season. No point in rushing him back for the sake of short term.

Looking forward to getting him back fully fit and raring to go and his partnership with Dom!

Did his injury not happen at the end of January though? So by time he would be ready to return to action it would've been may/June (going by how quickly farid's recovery is going?) So would be no point in trying to rush him back for a couple of games in may when most places would already have been decided?

As long as he is back 100% fit for April and May assault on play offs, cup semi and cup final.

Unless we have a cup final to win.

Pretty sure the surgery was new groundbreaking stuff which can reduce the recovery time.

Conjures up a slightly worrying picture but could just be my mind!
