Selected half time scores in the Champions League.

Manchester City 1-2 Bayern Munich
Schalke 0-3 Chelsea
Apoel Nicosia 0-2 Barcelona

Lionel Messi becomes the Champions League's all-time leading goalscorer after scoring tonight in Cyprus. Luis Suarez also got his first Barcelona goal. Chelsea have all but secured their place in the last 16 and Manchester City are on the brink of an early exit after Bayern Munich have come from behind to lead at half time, despite being down to 10 men.

Bayern still retaining 67% of possession with ten men. Bayern fans showing the City boys how to support a team as well.

The Germans have taken a bung.

Betting patterns to be investigated.

Get in' Townsend is embarrassing.

He's an idiot.

I've been struggling to understand how there's no difference between a win and a draw for the last hour and it turns out he's talking mince. A draw for CSKA would've put them through if Man City beat Roma.

Edit: The most embarrassing bit being when he said 'the maths really aren't that difficult'...naw Andy, they're no.

Yeah, I'm sure all the city fans who watched their club scratch around in the third division will appreciate the lesson on how to support your team from hard done by Munich fans.

The arrogance of Bayern Munich was quite staggering at times tonight, for that alone they deserve the egg on their face.

Arrogance ? thought for the vast majority of the game they were tremendous. Two incredible errors late on, maybe some late money going on. :greengrin

They were playing with 10 men for 65mins.

Not sure about betting allegations, will leave that alone. Let's agree, though, that Guardiola is a fabulous coach but sometimes a little too clever for his own good... Giving Schweinsteiger a run out made sense but bringing on Shaqiri was a bit cocky. A stronger player would have helped shore things up for them.

I thought the way they knocked the ball around the edge of their own penalty area, inches away from world class attackers like Aguero etc, was extremely arrogant. They were caught out doing it numerous times and still they insisted on doing it, it was a matter of time before City scored from it - which they did, twice. Okay, the first one was at the half way line but it was still the last line of defence before I get picked up on that.

Also find Guardiola's style boring to watch, a lot of possession but rarely a meaningful, exciting attack. I'd much rather watch two teams go end to end, personally.
