Following on from the best/worst Hibs XI threads recently it threw up quite a few names from the past.

So who can name the 6 players to play for Hibs who's surname starts with Z?
The 3 who's surname starts with Y?
And apparently the only player who's surname started with U? without cheating :greengrin

......I'd put the answers at the bottom under a spolier thing if i knew how to do it.

Managed by Bobby Zzzzzzzzzzilliomson

Saying that, seen a stat yesterday that he is the 3rd fastest manager to reach 100 points for Hibs. Behind Mogga and McLeish

Probably as most others got 2 points for a win. also 5 games at the end of each season against the bottom 6 has to help.

I think it was since the start of the SPL. Probably allouds to the fact we have had our fair share of managers who have only been here for 18 months or so.......

There were 2 John Young's, at least! I remember a big no nonsense ginger haired CH who played quite a few games in the early 60's. The other one ( above ) was a RB I think.

Played a solitary game at home to Falkirk as a sub when John Blackley was sent off in 71?

If it helps there's an a to z list of players on ihibs/fitbastats

http://www.fitbastats.com/hibs/player_list_az.php

Which covers all competitive games since 1877 when we entered the Scottish Cup. There's more details on the post second world war players, but there's appearance data as a minimum for all pre 1946 players too.

Not a bad team? I'd agree, except personally I wouldn't play a 106-year-old at the heart of our defence.

He might have lost a couple of yards of pace but his experience would surely compensate?

Probably wise. A few good performances and McCoist would want him for Ibrox.

John Young played over 50 games for Hibs-late 50s/early60s.Defender/ wing half-scored a 35 yarder against Dunfermline.
