That's brilliant. "I wouldn't say I had him in my back pocket but he didn't cause me any problems".

What position has Stanton been playing for the under 20's?, seems to be finding the net a lot with them.

Not seen much of Allan other than pre-season games, worthy of a try in the first team or too early?

He certainly didn't give the defenders an easy ride, left his foot in a few times and wasn't shy to put himself about and put them under pressure. Well played, pleasure to see that attitude.

Thought Dundee were really poor but we were superior in every dept and the result showed that.

Just watched a really good u 20's performance ! what a real pleasure to watch these young guys go about their business, the work ethic and attitude is a credit to them, alongside a desire and some very good ability.
AS was watching that today and I would love to know what he saw in it, with regards to players already within the first team squad (For me Jury is out on Harris in particular). Some others must be making him consider them in his plans,?? on recent showing in my book at least !!!!
I have to admit that whilst Dundee were not up to much there were attributes in our players that I would love to see in the first team..players with flair and pace taking on opponents, good quality link up play, good touch on the ball, the ball being moved about the field quickly, decent crosses, clinical finishing and following up on shots on goal....

Finally, the team played very much to the diamond shape in midfield an the players worked with it very well even the subs came on and a fitted straight in to the system ... better than the first team I have to say !

Finally finally, really good to see Cody Mulhall playing a decent part of the game and getting a really good goal, he looked hungry and showed what he has in his locker even in these early days in his return.

Well done all - great result :)

He's the only one in the team today that looks like he doesn't need a good feed, looks well built and solid. Need to get the raw steaks doon the laddies necks at East Mains.

I think Heffernan has been dreadful this season but I do feel for him a bit as he's not a lone striker, most of his chances this season have been up front on his own.

He's still not really played much in the scheme of things. Difficult to come in for a few minutes here and there. I think he should have started at the weekend. Give him a few chances he will score. Any striker getting one chance every few weeks will struggle.

I agree.

I'm not saying he's brilliant but I think to suggest playing some inexperienced youngster instead of him would have made any difference to the outcome of the game is probably not true.

If one of these young guys do get a chance then we'd need to give them a different role to what Heffernan has been given.

Wasn't Heffernan wanted by St Johnstone in August but he chose to stay with Hibs?

I wonder what his thoughts will be if an offer comes in (however unlikely that is) for him again in January
