25 years ago today the wall came down. I WAS THERE THAT NIGHT (just sayin likes). It was amazing!

I feel lucky to have lived through that, and the staggering wave of people power that swept through Eastern Europe afterwards. I can still get a bit teary now thinking about the sacrifices people made, and the incredible optimism there was for the future.

So was I. An amazing experience indeed ! A memory of the next morning was all the Trabbies parked in the streets and dazed "Ossies" walking around. You couldn't move for bananas for the next few months :greengrin

I was there a year before hand so got to go through and see what life was like on the other side. I'd love to go back and see the city again. Flights and hotels are really good value so I may do it for a long weekend.
