It's what I want to see and I can see it happening. Whats my fellow hibees thoughts. Just for the record I've moved on and accepted the result of the referendum.

I agree in principle (only it should be the DevoMax Alliance for 2015).

Problem is the SNP is so much bigger and better placed than the Greens and even more so than the SSP, it's hard to see seats the SNP should stand aside in.

If I was a Nat activist I would be dead against an alliance. The SNP are way out in front in the polls, what do the other two parties bring to the table? Also can you really see the SNP allowing SSP candidates to run on their ticket? The reality is independence is the only thing that unites them. I hope it does happen as it will back fire as I don't think the Scottish people will support it and it might give Labour a way back into the game. In the interests of SNP a Strugeon & Brown leadership would be the best but I hope the Nats give it Constance as she's hopless

Is an alliance needed? Labour looks to be trying to wipe themselves out and the SNP are so strong they don't need to join up with anybody else.

IMO this shouldn't and, indeed, hope it won't happen.

I can't think of single seat where a Green or SSP candidate is better placed than the SNP?

For me, the SNP should keep themselves at arms length from the Tommy Sheridan's of this world.

The far left are constantly falling out with themselves, so i can't see a wider Yes Alliance being anything other than toxic in the context of a General Election.

Put it this way, I'd say my politics are left of centre but, there is no way I'd vote for a candidate of the far left.

I attended 2 YES alliance meetings after the referendum. I won't be in Britain to vote next time so I didn't join the SSP as I was going to but when I'm in Scotland I will be doing my bit for the pro-indy candidate in the only Tory constituency in Scotland :(

Possibly a Glasgow seat? I guess the former SSP MSP's were elected in that area... I don't even know for sure if the SSP have agreed to the alliance.

They haven't....yet.

There has been presentations from both Radical Independence and Woman for Independence at recent branch meetings though so it's definitely under consideration.

My thinking behind it is that a yes alliance would maybe tempt labour and lib dem votets. The snp are still seen as tartan tories by some on the left and an alliance may persuade some of these people to vote for an alliance candidate. I would try it for the Westminster election to see how it goes.

Well this survey of nearly half a million suggests that the Green Party have the most popular policies. Given that they are left of the SNP, and that policy popularity is slowly, despite the MSM blackout, converting into voting intentions, I suspect they would be a useful ally for the SNP in getting at traditional Labour voters who have had enough of Blairism/Murphyism...
