Can't imagine he'll be looking at anyone playing in that game but given John Doolan's Wigan connections perhaps looking at someone who's not currently in first team picture.

Yep maybe a reserve game or u21s or so earlier in the day also.

Fraser Fyvie anyone?

A wee loan there would be lovely. Doubt it'd happen though. But then again Scott Allan was in the same boat as him and look where he's ended up.

Thought we already had our max cross borders loans?

We could take him in January Billy, letting Jake Sinclair return south :agree:

Ok, I presume we could also let Oxley go

Not a bad shout but not a position we need filled, centre half will be the priority I'm assuming.

We may have no choice Billy, depending on Hull's goalkeeping situation at that time

That would be a good move. He's clearly not as good as Stubbs thought/was told and if we can get shot of him and bring Fyvie in that would be a decent bit of business.

I thought we could have 3 "foreign" loans? Oxley, Sinclair and is there anyone else?

Isn't Kennedy Scottish or does that not count as he is at an English club?!!!!!

He was down this way visiting his lad, and is taking in the game as he knows a few involved and he's in the area. I know someone involved with Wigan who's just been telling me. Apparently him and John Doolan feel like things are really starting to come together now.

Cumming will come good needs time,

Fraser Fyvie anyone?

Would not want Fyvie anywhere near Hibs - just needs to see the word injury written on a piece of paper and he'd be out with an eye strain for weeks. He'd make Clancy look like a regular.

Were we not linked with a Wigan reserve keeper in the summer?

We won't be signing anyone that's starting championship games but maybe down to talk to someone about coming in January?

I would think keeper has to be priority as he's only here till January

I don't think there is any limit on the number of cross border/European Union country loans. E.U. law and all that.

?? Nelson and McGivern have gone! No need to have such nightmares any more. We have Hanlon, Forster and Fontaine plus Booth and under-20's back up. That's miles better than anything we've had in that position for years.

Yes there were a couple of preventable goals against DUFC. They are a very good side though with a lot of pace. In our last five league games we've only conceded three goals - and that included two games against Rangers and Hearts.

I can't see Stubbs prioritising a centre back at the moment. Much more likely to be someone who can cover at right back or perhaps a goalie I think.

I do think we need a right footed centre back. We've looked a tad unbalanced in the past two games

I take your point. We do have some experience now at the back though so I'd like to see cover for Forster from the under-20's if we have someone who could be ready.

I'm meaning a centre half for cover. We only have 3 first team centre halves and our preferred formation is 3-5-2 which requires all of them to be fit and available, I think we'll bring in one for back up, nothing to do with poor performances.

Who says it's our preferred formation, apart from the beating Rangers 3-1, our best performances this season have been playing a 4-4-2 diamond against Livingson,Hearts and Dubdee U.

Well, considering it's the formation we used until we were forced to change, I'm assuming it's Stubbs' preferred choice. Nevertheless, I'm sure he'll want to bring in a centre half to at least give him the option of playing that system when we have injuries.
