Whats the thoughts on this one then?

Just watching Ringside just now. I think Cleverley is going to win due to Bellew spontaneously combusting at the first bell!

It's a cracking nights boxing.

Jamie McDonell world title fight, Scott Quigg world title fight, James DeGale, George Groves, Anthony Joshua and Callum Smith.

Fancy Cleverly to win the main event just but wouldn't be shocked to see it go the other way.

How much is the PPV? I know its the way boxing has went but its a bit of a joke paying 15/20 for big fights.

To be fair you would pay more going to the cinema, know what I'd rather spend money on.also These fights don't come along that often.

Not bad for an evenings entertainment especially with the undercard on offer tonight.

There's something wrong with Cleverlys right hand, he wont throw it at all?

This fight has been awful, Cleverley has been knackered from about the 8th round, and although i think theres something wrong with his right hand he'd hardly been touched by the 8th and he struggled against the bigger man.

Saying that, Bellew was still very poor in my opinion.

did seem like he had a problem with his right hand, I'm glad he didnt try to use it as an excuse after the fight though, like some of them would.

Thoughts on last night:

Bellew took control from about round 6 onwards, had him by a couple and was suprised anyone saw it as a split decision. No idea where Cleverly goes from here as he was previously found out at the top level. Cleverley let himself get dragged into Bellews type of fight as it wore on although that may be due to whatever waa going on with his right hand.

Joshua needs stepped up now. He's learning nothing from these 1 or 2 round blow outs. Problem is nobody in the UK domestic scene with their own aspirations will go near him and it's probably too early for him to fight a Wilider or Haye. Out of all the British fighters I reckon Chisora would be the one to take the fight (dependent on him losing next week though) and I reckon he would give Joshua a few decent rounds.

Groves was trying too hard to impress with the big shots early on and took a while to suss out the southpaw. Once he settled down he looked good. He would give Andre Dirrell a good fight for the WBC belt imo.

James DeGale is a proper weapon. If there is one thing Froch is not then it's a coward. To beat a guy who had to try and shed 10lbs in 4 days and still looked like Mr Blobby and go mouthing off was a bit sad. The reason Froch doesn't want to fight him is he's nowhere near as big a draw as he thinks he is. When he was main eventing on Channel 5 he was toiling to sell 5000 tickets, the big crowds now aren't for him, it's the cards he's on.

Scott Quigg looked good. Solid defensively and very aggressive on the inside. The guy he was fighting was tough as **** though. He took one hell of a beating but was still desperate to come forward and make a fight of it.

Jamie McDonell got the job done in his usual style.

Callum Smith was very impressive again. He's not ready for a world title yet imo but he will be one day.

I knew Carew would lose when I heard him interviewd on Radio 5 Live on Thursday.

I can't remember his exact words, but it was along the lines of "I can't let him beat me." "I can't let that happen". "Losing isn't an option."

Negative, negative, negative.

Loser talk, but the odds weren't tempting enough for me to back Bellew.
