It's a common occurrence, as seen last night, to watch a manager berating the 4th official about some dodgy decision or other.

But what happens next? Does the 4th official actually do anything? Write it down? Submit a report? Tell the ref? Or is he just a sort of agony aunt for managers?

Always remember Mowbray saying that the decision to put a 4th official in there just created problems that didn't need creating.

Did he not say that when he signed Zibi Malkowski?

On Sunday it was a chance for him to catch up with his mate Robbie Neilson. Spent many periods standing having a wee chuckle with each other.

I thought their main purpose was to be there as back up incase the ref got injured?

What was the assistant referee in front of the West Stand last night doing is more to the point. He missed almost everything!

Don't they hold up the board for Extra Time?

It's a difficult task, don't knock it.
