I always think this is the best kick-off time for a game moved for TV coverage.

I wonder what others think?

This was the Sky kick-off time for SPL games in season 2001/02. I remember going to a game versus Rangers at Ibrox live on TV, 2-2, Orman cracker.

That time slot was at least 12 years ago now, a lot of fans won't be used to it and think it is a new time, when it is actually an old one, especially the younger fans.

I can remember the 5.30 games in the season 2001/02. Always remember the Scottish Cup game against Dunfermline away was a 5.30 KO in 2003.

Between 1998/99-2000/01 it was 6.05pm on a Sunday.

The last season of Sky's 4 year deal in 2001/02, it switched to Saturday 5.35pm.

And here is me thinking that we would have more 3 o'clock KO in this league.

Quite happy with this. Can watch the scores in the pub saturday afternoon and then go to the game.

Much, much better than the 12:30 kick offs anyway.

Why? Sky and BT have two Edinburgh derbies each, that is 4 straight away.

Sky and BT have 15 Rangers games between them, as they have in the past two seasons.

And now BBC Alba have 16 live lower league games. Every chance we will have a few of those on TV.

I wonder when people will stop being shocked at fixtures being moved for TV.

Its only been happening for about 20 years.

The world has changed, a long time ago. Its not 1997 anymore. Its how it is and always will be whenever were in a league worthy of being shown on TV.

Think this is an "as live" match? So kick off is 3pm, and full match is shown on Alba from 5.30.

Sorry, had hoped for a 3pm, saw it on Evening News website as 5.30 and assumed they were wrong as usual!

Exactly!

Think back to the early/mid 90s when Sky and STV used to show a few games each per season.

I remember Hibernian going to Kilmarnock on a Friday night (Yogi made his debut) and Motherwell on a Friday.

We played Celtic in a Scottish Cup Seni-Final live on Sky on a Friday night at Ibrox. Back then, TV coverage throughout the UK was welcomed.

They came exclusive TV deal ls and 6.05pm kick offs, I still don't recall as much hoo-ha then as we get now.

The league have sold 86 SPFL regular season games across all four league to three different broadcasters meaning different slots and kick off times. Annoying yes, but not surprising.

I like 5.30pm on Saturday again.

Bit annoyed as now can't make it due to a night out that's arranged. I do like the ko time though. Far, far better than any pish Sunday or Monday evening.

Acceptable ko time for a local game but would ruin a Saturday evening if you were away to QoS.

I think the game being live will deter a good 1,000+ potentially.

I'd have went for a 3pm ko but I'm out at night so will likely now watch the game in the pub. Would imagine many folk will be the same or choose convenience of watching at home.

Hope not. Its £5 20 min train fare. Won't get an easier away day (minus tynecastle)

I've been looking forward to this fixture as my folks stay in Livingston so can combine it with a visit there for tea. Bit of a pain that it's now a teatime kickoff but it's preferable to lunchtime.
