Interested in knowing who is everyone's favourite player and why?
Mine is Scott Allan or jason Cummings

For me they are both very confident and can create something out of nothing, and know that even if their not having the best game, they can still influence it and both them always demand the ball

Stevenson is mine. May not be the best or most skilful but can play in different positions and always gives 100%.

Because he's Jimmy O'Rourke.

Of the present squad I'd go for wee Lewis.
All-time favourite would need to be shared between Joe Baker and Sir Pat.:not worth

Right now I'd go with David Gray. Solid, great engine on him, can pick out a pass, and pop up with a goal!

Cummings has a touch of arrogance which is refreshing.

Right now, Lewis Stevenson. Taken some unjustified abuse over the years (although NB Stubbs, he is no right back FFS!) as for some unknown reason Hibs fans love to pick out decent hard workers like him and Rankin (when the latter was here) as the core of our problem as opposed to some of the more - theoretically - technically gifted players who are in fact lazy barstewards (not many of them in this Stubbs team on Monday's showing I hasten to add)

Always looks to pass it, never stops running, loves playing for Hibs and CAN quite clearly cross a ball.

He's probably the most capable player in the side. I hope we can hang on to him for a long time to come.

Realistically, if he stays for the two years of his contract I think we'll have done well.

There's a few that I'd hate to lose to injury and suspension, that's when you know you've got a good player, when you're gutted they're missing. Hanlon, Gray, Cummings, Stevenson and Malonga are in that bracket for me at the moment. If Fontaine keeps performing well he'll be in there too. I would say our defensive players are coming onto a game, certainly in the last couple of games, that's of paramount importance if we're to kick on now.

Paul Hanlon. :aok:

My favourite too, the laddie is as hard as nails and a rock in the centre of the defence, he made a bit of a howler earlier on in the season but he's a cracking player, and one of our own too, lifetime Hibee!

All time Ian Murray proper skipper, nice guy and gave it his all every game. Currently not really got one there's a few decent players Hanlon, Foster, Robbo but not got a favourite.

Not so sure on that front to be honest. Good player though can be bullied on occasion.

Has to be Malonga.

I love him, he looks so ridiculously clumsy when he runs with the ball but he beats players so easily

I would really love to have a favourite in the team just now but its difficult after the last few years. Maybe LS for his constant effort. Time for a new Hibs Hero to step up.
All time, there's been a few...Des Bremner, Ally McLeod, George Stewart, schades, jackie mac, Arthur Duncan, Isaac revfik, Bobby Flavell for some reason, Pat McGinley, Keith, DJ, Mickey Weir, Alan Rough, Gordon Rae, Ralph C, Le God, Goram, Graeme Mitchell, Alan Sneddon, John Collins, Kano, Joe T, Deek, Broonie, fletcher, David Murphy, Sparky, Doyle, and loads more. Not all of them great players but they just had something i liked.

Paul Hanlon. :aok:

hanlon reminds me of the Neil Orr scenario. At times he looked ordinary and often looked p@sh. But when he wasn't in the team we tended to get beat. Remember I think I remember goram(?) saying this too. When he wasn't in the team hibs struggled.
it was the same last season. Ok we know there are lots of reasons why we were p&sh last season, all them down to butcher, but decline also coincided with hanlons injury.
I've said on other posts that I think we have a player there, and I'm prepared to stand by that. I think he will be a hibs great - although I appreciate that at the moment even pedro the programme seller qualifys as a hibs great.

for me it has to be Lewis Stevenson for his pride and passion in the jersey, for the crap he has taken on here and for the fact he is our longest serving player. He is just a brilliant wee laddie and never gives up. Always 100% from him no matter what!

Previous heros have been Mickey Weir and the one and only PAT STANTON!
