Majorly impressed- he seems to be of a similar style to Sow (who also, sadly, has really impressed me). When Farid comes back our attack will look pretty banging. Oh and Leigh :greengrin

He looks a real handful, strong, skilful, great awareness of where his team mates are. He really suits the 3-5-2 system we've used in the last couple of games. I think we've got something with this formation, it suits the players we have down to the ground.

Looks quite a skillful player, I was really impressed with him. He doesn't look the fastest but easily makes up for that with his passing ability and all round play.

Looking forward to seeing what damage Malonga and El Alagui (when fit) could inflict. That said, either will have to be on their game with Cummings increasing his own stock.

Still early days but he's done well. I thought he could have been more of a presence when challenging for the ball in the air. But his link up play and touch were excellent

I wasnt sure what to expect, but I was impressed with him last night. Technically one of the best players on the park last night, looked comfortable on the ball and more or less always looked for a sensible pass. He looks so casual as well when he plays which I quite like.

Very impressed with Big Dom last night, ghosted through the game with ease. Looks like we've found a gem...

With feet like that, he could appear on Strictly...he'd get perfect :top marks's every week!

Yep, had a very good game last night. Even second half, his mere presence up front occupied two players who would normally join the rangers attacks. Been very impressed with him so far.

Great feet, held the ball up well. Wasn't keen on competing for headers last night I felt. It doesn't look like he is 100% match fit yet but looks like he will do a decent job.

Looks an awkward character to play against, he was causing their defense lots of bother last night. Looks a decent signing, but I would just like to see him use his height a bit more to his advantage. A few times i recall last night where he was beaten to the ball in the air. He's a big laddie, but he looked like he had concrete boots on last night. Other than that I was impressed and think he looks a good signing!

Here we go. I have heard this criticism levelled at many Hibs strikers over the years, usually if they were over 5'10''. He scored two with his head the game before last. Maybe, he just doesn't bother jumping for lost causes.:greengrin

Malonga and Cummings need to play as a front two, week in and week out so they gain an understanding of how they play. None of this super-sub nonsense.

Agreed. It is early days but I said to a friend before the Rangers game that I thought Stubbs might have come up with a good one, especially in this division. And the reference to this division is not meant in any way to belittle his skill and suggest he might not be good enough for the SPL...NEXT YEAR!!!!

But he looks like he could be handful for any defender at this level and we still have not really seen him with many chances to go for goal. I am confident he will score a few this year, assist in a few and maybe get us a couple of penalties, Ibrox excepted!

I've only seen him against beath and at ibrox but he's strolled through these games with ease and grace. If he's not 100% yet then we have some player on our books for the next couple of years. His second goal against Ross county he seemed to glide into the box which I really liked.

We've signed a Serie A player for the Scottish Championship. Scottish football has receded too much over the years for us to sign a Sauzee but I have a feeling that he's the closest we'll get to a player who's played at such a higher level.

Woah woah woah calm down, let's not label him that just yet. Actually lets not label him anything, let's just say he's playing well

Never ends well when we constantly label players things after one or 2 games!

Nah, the point I'm trying to make (badly) is the gap between the level he's played before and the level he's playing now. He's a ****ing astounding signing IMO.

Got to appreciate the big man while he's with us as I think more lucrative offers are just round the corner for him with a big move if he keeps playing the way he has been.

For a big lad he has a fantastic touch just amazed AS managed to get him to come to us. :aok:

Having watched the full game now thanks to an excellent link from dunedinhibs I have ta say the big man was excellent. The way he beat Moshini on the touchline in the first half was quality. Also well impressed with the back 3 thought Fontaine was very good as that's the first I've seen him. To be fair the whole team played well so fair play to Stubbs his tactics were spot on. Long may it continue!

I hope so too but I think it's important to remember we were playing a team managed by a man who is to tactics what captain birdseye is to fine dining. We need to start out-smarting the likes of falkirk, qos and alloa. Perfect time to start tomorrow!

Fair call, there's only 2 teams in the league who will play that way against us, so need ta see how AS is gonna go about trying ta break the other teams down while not conceding the daft goals we have so far this season. Was quite funny seeing McCoist standing arms folded looking scoobied every time we scored.
