...we are where we are.

We didnt INVEST in the squad to bring in quality and experience.

We continue to bring in talented but lost there way younger players on loan.

We still have a powder puff central defence and still rely on players who have let us down badly over past 18 months or so instead if getting rid and replacing.

We also took the gamble in employing a first time manager.

So should any of us be surprised how poor we are. Taking all into account, including new league, being a target scalp, artificial surfaces......we are a mid table championship team this season.

Big no nonsense centre half, ball winning **** of a central midfielder and a target man who can hold play up and bring others into it. Have 2 or 3 of these players in the team and this division would be a lot easier. As it stands with Farid out we have none of those types.

We've been totally misled this season. The club is still ripping the pish out of us as the seasons roll by and league one beckons before long.

We also brought in a couple of players who should be first picks but don't get picked because they are no better than what we currently had.

And why are the players no better? Because the player budget requested was declined. And who is involved in giving the go ahead to said budget? The ****ing tache!

Nothing changes.

Surely not, the tache has nothing to do with the budget anymore?

You jest perhaps ? RP's grubby prints are all over everything our club is involved in. Nothing will change whilst he remains and nothing will improve until STF has gone too.

Our main way out of trouble has always been to invest in good players. The business minds of Petrie and Farmer have always kept us on the 'balanced books' mentality and for them that was seen as a form of success. They have absolutely lost trace of our 'raison-d'etre' ......... to be successful on the pitch. As long as ten thousand fans roll up to ER every other week, they will always feel successful or, at least, holding their own financially. Maybe if they experienced a kick in their financial teeth, they might change their tune or get out completely and cut their losses. A change at the very top is our only chance of survival.

There is a painful truth in there somewhere..

That could have been 2 outof the 3 you were looking for, yet Petrie allowed Butcher to Release them a couple of weeks before he sacked Butcher.
You couldn't really make up the level of incompetence shown by our chairman. Yet he is still at the helm of HFC Titanic!!!!

Soft core. Painfully obvious since the get go.
AS has a major task on his hands. Again, obvious.
Still think Ian Murray is the man for the job. Nothing against AS just that particular contexts demand particular approaches IMO and AS looks like he needs a more stable environment to prosper.

Gives handling a four year contract which most thought a strange decision .You assume he must see him as first team player but he has hardly kicked a ball for us since .Just one example of what happens when you bring in an in experienced manager if Fontaine wasn't capable of being in first team why bring him to club in first place . I could go on but Nae point we are clearly going to have to go through more pain and humiliation before we come out of this .Have revised my prediction we are not top four club ,but on current form we aren't even top six in the Championship.

Absolute agreement

Butcher should have been sent on gardening leave immediately after full time was called after the Hamilton defeat and had no say in player retention whatsoever

For that decision alone Petrie should have been sacked and still should be.
