Folks,
If you are at a loose end on Sunday afternoon then why not pop along to New Dundas park in Bonnyrigg? My team, the Forth 1 Allstars, will be facing a local side managed by our very own Pat Stanton. Pat's side will be mostly made up of mechanics from the Belmont group in Bonnyrigg, however we are hoping he might bring a couple of ringers with him. Keith Wright has been mentioned, which would be nice.
Our Forth 1 side has John Leslie in goal, however I believe he is facing a late fitness test before Sunday...
This is the 6th charity game we have played this season and we have raised in excess of £7,000 as a result. All money raised goes directly to Forth 1's 'Cash for Kids' charity which raises money for disadvantaged youngsters in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Great charity!
Entrance on Sunday will be by bucket donation. There will be a half time cross bar challenge for spectators. Plenty opportunity for chatting/photos with Pat both at the ground and then the Roses club afterwards.
We have chipped in and bought Pat a wee gift for his forthcoming birthday. We will present this after the game.
Finally, STV are potentially coming to film as they must be putting something together to stick on the news in the lead up to his birthday next week.
