Is it possible to bring in out of contract players after the window has shut?

If yes then are there any options that could do job for us?

Yes it possible.

James McFadden could do a job for us. But he's not an out and out goalscorer, which is what we need.

Its possible yes - by some of the wording coming out of ER, I think they expect that to happen

Im not sure on who is available, but id expect a forward to come in

What quality of Striker though??

We had no intention of signing anyone else...bar Griffiths.

LD at her meeting

Stubbs playing in a charity match.

Club sent out a very good signal to the fans last night IMHO.

Same old same old.

Yeah, we didn't sign taiwo til a few days free the widow iirc.

I'd imagine we'll get a defensive mid if OTJ has left.

I was just reading that OTJ should be signing for Falkirk, something on Twitter. Quite surprised Pattison didn't sign last night?

Is Pattison on a free?

If so, can sign him anytime

I think he is mate, I was just wondering if this means he's not what we're looking for as he's been here a few weeks now. Leaves us o

Any player released from their clubs before the deadline expires is free to sign for any club at any time.

IMO he could still do a job for us as he was never quick anyway but is a decent and strong target man. With younger legs around about him may be an option at least until Farid returns.

Yes we can sign free agents. However, we should not be in the position of looking at these guys after the window has closed. If they are still available after that event then the obvious question is "Why?" Is it that what they and their agents believe they are worth is not realistic; is it that they have "attitude" issues which mean no Club will touch them; is it because they are simply not good enough; is it because they do not want to go to particular Clubs? Obviously one of, or a combination of the above in my opinion and so for me, no thanks.

I admit we are in a desperate situation. I'm disgusted with the way the Club reportedly conduct transfer business (I still believe that Mr Petrie ultimately pulls all the strings in that department). I'm not happy with the squad we have. Yes I am contradicting myself by saying no free agents please, but you know what - I was elated on Friday night when I heard from a variety of people that for me the single most important piece of business for many years was about to be concluded. I was raging when I was told that the antics of a Serbian striker might put a major spanner in the works on Saturday. I was steaming when we lost to Alloa. I almost gave myself a heart attack with rage at the close of the window last night. Mr Petrie has won this particular individual battle - I now no longer believe nor care, hard as it is to accept and even say after over 40 years of following them and being brought up on tales of the Famous Five and the beauty of Gordon Smith on the ball ("Better than Pele" was my father's mantra). Just like my Dad I won't be back - at least he now has no choice in the matter but can share tales with the Five up there. RIP and RIP Hibs.

There's a really big presumption here that Hibs are actually willing to sign more players. I've got a feeling that we're done until January.

Looking at that list I noticed the following for Michael Richardson- weren't we linked with him when Butcher was in charge? Still yet another young untried forward though. : Michael Richardson CF Contract status: Out of Contract Nationality: English Height: cm Club: Newcastle United FC badge DOB: 17/03/1992 DOMESTIC CAREER Season Club Division Manager Apps Gls Starts Full Sub-on Sub-off yellow card red cards 2014/2015 Hibernian Division 1 Alan Stubbs 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
