Had Farid stayed on the park, we would have won yesterday. When he went off, defeat appeared inevitable. Mangers come and go, but Hibs seem to remain a bunch of prima donas who can only perform if conditions are exactly right - which, in football, they rarely are. Clubs like Cowdenbeath (on Saturday) must be relishing the chance to get in about us.

Can't help thinking back to the last time we were in the lower tier, yes we had Sauzee and Latapy, but we also had Hughes and Dennis, two men who inspired terror both in opponents, but also in anyone in our own side inclined to shirk or crap out.

Now we have a guy who is never a leader as our captain, and to be fair to him, whatever he might say, his body lingo tells the world that he doesn't want the job.

Instead of indulging in Griffith rescue fantasies, we should be looking at getting a couple of bad *******s in, particularly in central midfield, men who don't take 'I cannae be bothered' for an answer.
