Michael Nelson stars for Cambridge in 5 - 0 defeat of Carlise. You couldn't make it up.

Players seem to leave this club with a massive weight off their shoulders while simultaneously turning on the style for their new club.
Happens all the time.
Food for thought...

Good luck to the guy. Another case, perhaps, of an ex-Hibby finding good form as soon as he walks away from ER. I sometimes wonder if there is something in the East Mains air or water.

Talking to a guy who was at the game today, Cambridge fan, Nelson was an "absolute standout" but Carlisle were awful. I consoled myself by saying that this is a so called lower level - problem is we are still going downward.

Good luck to the guy - he certainly never hid - maybe we should have played him on midfield.
