Morning all - here's the place to stick all your travel tips / best pre-match grub & drinks / weather forecasts / questions about radio links / appropriate dress for the day etc

Bit damp and gloomy thus far with a stiff breeze......

Alloa predicted to be 16oC at KO but feeling like 12oC with the stiff westerly wind

First taste of 'Astro' turf for the Hibbies today - might that affect team selections?

Does our squad contain any astroturf specialists?

As long as Hibs don't go down 2 - 0 the same time as LG's loan is confirmed because this board just could not cope and might have to go straight on to life suport....GIF free life support

I predict 0-4 for the Hibees!

Less than a 20% chance of rain thank god as we are on the terracing. There is a KFC next to the ground and Im told by a mate that Alloas catering is 10 times better and far cheaper than ours. GGTTH

Just having my Belvita biscuits and cup of tea before deciding on mode of attire. Be in Alloa before 1 but not yet decided on the hostelry. Probably the station.

Getting train at 11. Time for a couple of tugs thinking about Leigh before departure.

Just up.

Couple of rolls, head to the pub for a hair of the dog, bus up, pint or 2, game, Hibs win, girlfriends out so few beers post game, home for MOTD. Classic Saturday.

Is Leigh in the squad?

A sunny but blustery day is forecast, as a cool nor'westerly sweeps through central Scotland like a Leigh Griffiths barnstorming charge into the box. Pollen count low, pollution index low, 1006mb atmospheric pressure and temperatures will hover around 16 degrees although the wind may make it feel as cool as a Lucozade freshly pockled from the Tesco chiller cabinet.

According to the Met Office Alloa is 12metres above sealevel. So I think you're safe :greengrin

Out of interest, do you really have a sheepskin VEST? :dunno: is that no a bit scratchy?

a repeat scoreline of the last League game between Alloa and Hibernian would be quite nice

0-3 for the visitors, in 1933

:flag:

we've played them 22 times and lost just the once, which happened to be our first ever meeting in 1923, it's nice we are some other teams bogey team :greengrin

Last minute change of heart and considering heading through. I saw on the official site that there will be 500 tickets on the gate to buy for Hibs fans. Think its worth the trip through without a ticket to see about getting one on the door?

It just might be falling into place for an unexpected trip :scarf:
