Still feel he has quality but think we need someone with a bit steel for the midfield and more help up front

Would be very happy with this.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at Pearson, as an option in midfield, but I don't think, at his age, that he is the definitive answer to our midfield requirements.

Would be a good signing. Slightly off topic is McFadden still without a club?

At Easter Road we play...

Pearson is only 31, hardly old for a footballer these days.

Riordan and O'Connor are both younger. Depends on the individual.

Not heard anything but 1 player I noticed that is without a club at the moment (who would fit the bill of what we require) is Emanuel Frimpong...

Left field!

He's got (or had) his own fashion label too, with his cousin Lethal Bizzle, and has trademarked the term 'denched'.

I think this makes him eminently qualified to play for us although he might disapprove of this year's strip.

Weren't we rumoured to be interested in Pearson years ago? Or was that just one of those stories the fish man heard on the bus?

He is, reckon he is waiting until the last moment to sign with someone, just waiting in case better offers come along than ones already in front of him. :agree:

Given that he's a free agent, the deadline doesn't apply to him. He is probably holding out for the best deal, but he could be waiting for an indeterminable amount of time

True but I reckon he will sign for someone on deadline day.

Am I right in saying he can or used to play striker for Motherwell and Celtic sometimes/when required?

As far as I'm aware SP played midfield or on the left. Never known him to be a striker

David Clarkson free too...but Motherwell don't seem to have fancied him after a trial at theirs last month.

Not for me tbh. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago but not now

Can also play left centre midfield? Always liked hiom as a player very athletic and also good on the ball though a little injury prone? He would appear to be in the mould as a possible replacement for Liam Craig if this was to happen, maybe not.

I never rated him, even when he got his move down south. Always looked like a player with tons of enthusiasm but not much else. Never saw the hype at all.

We don't need another forward who barely scores.

I remember him getting sent off for Motherwell when they played us years ago. McFadden came on at half time in that game. I think there was more than 1 player sent off too, and pretty sure we won it.
