Howdy all,

It's been years since I've been here but I'm on the scrounge. Scrounging for advice.

Has anyone any first hand advice about going on holiday to Japan? I'm planning a package holiday that will cost me circa £3k and I don't mind that but any advice gratefully received. Maybe there's a better/cheaper way for me to do it?

A cheaper way would be nice but likely unlikely.

But any advice whatsoever shall be gratefully received. I don't know a single person that's been there.

I'm going anyway, but all advice will help me. Way I see it it's two weeks withouth Hibs results. Jesus. What sort of gypsy curse are we under? It's depressing, it really is. And I don't think we've hit hit rock bottom yet. Wowzers. So help me to Japan if you can brothers. Arigatou.

That is a very good question and not an easy one to answer...but I'll try.

Japanese newsprint (newspapers and books) reads top to bottom - this tradition still stands today. In the bygone days, Japanese script read right to left, however nowadays, Japanese text reads left to right.

I have dual Jap/Eng software on the PC that I'm typing this message from. Unless you have newsprint software (which I don't in this programme) all the Japanese characters and text reads left to right. Likewise in email exchanges. It's all left to right script. I don't think there is an email client that supports top to bottom text. Times simply move on and newsprint text is sent as an attachment.
