Golf club hire

Is there any courses in the Edinburgh area that you can hire clubs for the day? I fancy a game of golf but don't fancy forking out for clubs. I like the sport but am no enthusiast. I know the season is coming to an end but any help would be appreciated.

The council courses have clubs for rent.

I don't know if anywhere else does.

It's worth keeping an eye on the charity shops - I got a full set of clubs (1W, 4W, 3I-PW and putter), bag, stand and brolly for £25 - Mizuno Widex irons, very good condition. Soon pays for itself if you get a set like that for a good price

Hadn't played for twelve years and on my first full eighteen holes with the clubs I eagled the 374 yard first at Portlethen - lucky clubs an' aw!
