Voice of the football results for the BBC for decades has sadly died today

[Pretty Boy]

I met him last year just after he had his voicebox removed due to cancer.

An absolute gentleman who, despite what he had just been through, never had a smile of his face the whole time I was in his company.

A real icon of football broadcasting in this country.
