A great goal by Nicholson - a nutmeg then a great hit.

None of our players have the ability to do that IMHO - anyone disagree?

New season same old spineless stuff.

Pathetic.

Stanton and Harris have both scored goals from distance. El Alaguis touch and finish today was superb as well.

That was an exceptional goal, and no we don't. Better not say much more, as the hibs.net police are watching.

We won't know untill our players shoot. But a cracking goal from the hearts boy. Robertson really didn't cover himself in glory today.

Dry yer eyes eh.

As for the question, we seem to have a reluctance (more often than not) to shoot so the answer is No at the moment.

Liam Craig used to do it pretty regularly for St Johnstone :grr:

Liam Craig was a ball hair away from scoring an even better goal last week, if their keeper hadn't made an amazing save he would have.
El Alagui's goal today was far more difficult and took far more skill. Stop greeting.

Sam is a quality player and a good lad. Nothing Ox could do to save it really, quite a peach.

No we don't

Apart from a lad who flicked it over a centre halfs head, turned and volleyed it into the the net from outside the box

Did you not see our goal?

Harris was supposed to have all these skills but I'm not sure. Stanton didn't have a great game.

Looked better than it was because our clown Robertson was too close to him .. If he had stayed back another yard the nutmeg would not have worked!!
Robertson and Craig are the reasons we lost today!!

Yes. Craig, Stanton and maybe el alagui.

If they had done it it'd no doubt have been disallowed though.

Harris nearly scored a similar goal against Dundee Utd in our pre season friendly

Cummings

Unseen work

A lot of players have that in their locker and have done it in the past, just cause it's a derby and everyone's down let's not start saying none of our players could do it.

Harris
Stanton
Cummings
Craig
El alagui
Kennedy

IMO could all do similar, why not say who could do what El alagui done? Cause that was a screamer

El alagui's goal required just as much skill and technique if not more than nicholsons as he had to flick it over the defender turn and catch it on the volley!

For the older generation, was reminiscent of Frank Worthington's goal v Ipswich in the 70's or early 80's. If I remember rightly Terry Butcher was the Ipswich CH.

Both quite brilliant goals

Robertson got done aye. But If that happens up the other end of the pitch their defence mop it up or get a block in. Our defence were sat far too deep and they were for a lot of the second half. Loser mentality!

What a stupid thread title. El Alagui's goal was every bit as good as Nicholsons. Both great goals.

Nicholson's a special player, who will go to the very top of the game, thankfully he won't be at Hearts for too many years

Frank Worthington, I remember his great quote, that players today can trap the ball further than he could kick it! A proper footballer.
