Derk Boerrigter collapses after mild contact with Dave Mackay and referee John Beaton points to the spot before showing the Saints captain a red card.

Dave Mackay trudges off without too much fuss, although, having seen TV replays, it looks a very soft award.

Hideous stuff from John Beaton yet again. Seriously awful referee. How on earth that's a foul I'll never know. Is there any contact from Mackay?

Andy Walker's commentary is equally as awful. He goes back to the Saints penalty appeal to draw comparison, then realises that Celtic were beneficiaries on both counts and the referee was wildly inconsistent....

Scottish Football season well underway....

Unbelievable, this Celtic match.

3 fluky goals, they really are pish and unbearably lucky. Saints' made a good account of themselves and were dominating before the first goal.

Dundee Utd sitting pretty at the top of the league, yes its early but their team does look decent and they have replaced players they have sold over the seasons and still punched their weight regularly and challenged for cups and Europe.

When do they have to build a new stadium and training ground so we can catch up with them, or sell up to a Vlad type chancer who will relegate them?

Am I the only person that didn't see much difference with Chris Commons scythe and the tackle that earned Danny Handling a red card? Penalty decision and red card was a joke as well :-(

You get taught in primary school not to use 'good' and 'bad' to describe things. Good old BBC

Yet another game ruined by officials in favour of the ugly sisters. Agreed with everything Alan Stubbs and Neil McCann have just said on SS5.

The main thing for the this season was keeping Ciftci IMO, he's a cracking player. Done well to hold onto the likes of GMS for so long as well. They have a very good team actually, although they are very suspect in defence sometimes, keeper's a bit of a goat as well.

Tommy Craig has to be the worst appointment in Scottish football. £100 on him to go first!

Have yet to meet one buddie who thinks it was a good appointment .Consesensus view is it was cheap option and as for appointing Jim Goodwin as part of the team The man is a thug masquerading as a footballer .Word on the street is it's not a happy dressing room so don't see him hanging on to his job and must be contender for first manager to get the Bullet .

Getting rid of Lennon and replacing him with Craig was possibly the most bizarre decision of the entire close season. It's almost as if they want to get relegated. Replacing a young manager who was gaining in experience each season and replacing him with an absolute dinosaur. Mental

Yep - can't imagine any other Scottish club would be so stupid...
